Aboriginal Futures
Aboriginal Futures is our way of giving back to community.
We take $1 per kg of coffee sold and invest it into our Aboriginal Futures programs.

BARISTA TRAINING
We partner with Clontarf to provide free Barista training to young Aboriginal people.
As part of this process, we work with our partners to help them explore employment opportunities within the hospitality industry.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Special Projects are unique opportunities we support that present themselves outside our allocated community spend.
Special Projects are captured throughout the year and reported in our annual Impact Report.
ANNUAL IMPACT REPORT
We produce an annual impact report, so anyone who invests in our business has complete transparency of our Aboriginal Futures spend.
Our programs
Our programs are aimed at empowering Aboriginal people to speak our truths and break down the barriers of exclusion that prevent First Nation peoples from realising our potential.
BEANS TO BOOKS
AiC works with our partners to promote literacy by delivering culturally relevant books to children across Australia.
We provide books that:
- children can take home and read
- parents and carers can enjoy with their children
- are relevant to Indigenous children
- increase young people’s understanding of Indigenous culture
- help promote reconciliation between Indigenous and non- Indigenous Australians
AIC CREATIVE GRANT
The AIC Creative Grant is offered yearly and supports the skills development of Aboriginal authors and Illustrators.
Stories written by Aboriginal people are important not only for First-Nations peoples but also for non-Indigenous people because they create a human connection and deepen understanding across cultures that aids in reconciliation.
YARNING WORKSHOPS
We fund Yarning Workshops that connect Indigenous role models to young Aboriginal people.
The workshops can take many forms, like the sharing of someone’s life story, author and illustrator sessions or inspiring talks by successful Aboriginal people.
